1. MAY 9th SPRING BANQUET RECAP

Over 290 people participated in the JFM Spring Banquet. That number is a record for local Jesus For Muslims banquets! Thanks to all who came and participated in so many ways!  The event was held on Saturday May 9th at Calvary Temple International Assembly, Wayne, NJ 07470. This banquet featured a variety of songs and testimonies from Muslim Background Believers (MBBs).

2. SOUTH ASIAN COMMUNITY OUTREACH HOLDS GRAND OPENING!

The Grand Opening of the new SOUTH ASIAN COMMUNTIY OUTREACH CENTER was held on Saturday, May 2nd. The new facility is located at: 37-53 72nd St.  (between Roosevelt Ave. & Broadway), Jackson Heights, Queens.

Over 50 local immigrants registered for ESL classes that day. Several dozen Christian volunteers helped with set up, music, facility tours, registration assistance, and doing street evangelism.

3. 2009 MBB CONVENTION TO BE HELD LABOR DAY WEEKEND IN RICHMOND!

The 2009 National MBB Convention will be held in Richmond, VA. There is a great lineup of speakers, workshops, music, testimonies, and fellowship now being planned. The event will be Labor Day Weekend. JFM will be coordinating transportation for those in the Metro New York area.

4.    YWAM TO HOLD “MUSLIM FOCUS DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL”

Youth with a Mission Metro New York will hold a “Muslim Focus Discipleship Training School” during Fall 2009. This excellent training program will be based in Smithtown, Long Island, and feature teaching by JFM missionaries, as well as outreach opportunities in New York City. 5. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES IN THE NETWORK

JFM and a number of sister ministries are looking for Christian volunteers to help serve our Muslim neighbors and MBB friends.

English tutors: For Brooklyn Arab American Friendship Center and South Asian Community Outreach Center.

Refuge Center volunteers: To help residents with transportation to appointments, English practice, and fellowship.

6. PRAYER MEETINGS IN JUNE: (All are welcome! Please contact us for more details):

7. ETHNIC MINISTRY MEETING SCHEDULE

The Afghan-Iranian fellowship services are now held the first and third Sundays of each month, from 2-5 pm. Services will take place at Calvary Temple, 1111 Preakness Avenue, Wayne, NJ 07470. All are welcome to attend and bring their Farsi or Dari speaking friends. English translation is available. Light refreshments will be served after the meeting. Please contact us for more details.

Turkish Church meets Sundays 5 PM at Grace Church, 45 Hazel St. Clifton 07011. The service is in Turkish. Please contact us for more information.
